Application Instructions
ICSP Applications are accepted once a year in the spring term. ICSP Application Form for the Academic Year 2025-2026 will become available in WorldLink starting 3/15/2025 and close on 4/14/2025.

Timeline for AY 2025-2026 Application:

​​March 15, 2025 - Application e-forms are available via WorldLink

​April 14, 2025 - Deadline for ICSP Application Form and all other required documents
May-June, 2025 - Successful candidates will be invited for an interview
June, 2024 - Decision made​

To apply, log in to WorldLink using your ODIN account after 3/15/2025. Select "University Scholarships" > "ICSP Application" to start your application, consisting of:​

Provide your personal and academic information as well as any leadership, work, and/or culture sharing experiences you may have.​

Upload three essays:

Personal Statement: A short (500 words) essay in pdf format introducing yourself and describing your goals for the future. This may include, but is not limited to; academic or career goals, the impact ICSP would have on your professional development, and how a degree from PSU will assist you in fulfilling your goals.

Cultural Identity Essay: A short (500 words) essay describing how you view your culture and how it has impacted your perspective and identity.

Financial Need Statement: A short (250 words) essay explaining your financial situation. This may include, but is not limited to; changes in your financial support and a detailing of your expenses and finances. Bank statements do not need to be included. ICSP is a merit-based scholarship. Financial need will be taken into consideration but will not be the primary reason for selection.

Upload one sample presentation:

This can be created using PowerPoint, Google slides, Canva, or other tools but must be uploaded as a PDF. The presentation should be approximately 5 minutes worth of spoken material about a topic that is unique to your culture and has personal significance to you.

Two Recommender E-Forms (Recommender 1 and 2)

When you submit the Recommender E-Form, your recommender will automatically receive an email from our office with a link to a separate E-form for them to complete. You will receive a notification email once they submit the form.

It is recommended that you submit Recommender forms sooner rather than later so that the recommenders will have enough time to complete the forms. You are responsible for making sure your recommenders complete these forms in English by the deadline.

​A​t least one recommender should be a staff member or instructor from a school in the U.S.

At least one recommender should be from a source who can speak to your academic performance, such as an advisor or professor.

Recommenders should not be:

from your home country
-
your peers, family, or friends
-
advisors or staff from the Office of International Student and Scholar Services at PSU.
