Biography: Joanna comes Rwanda, a country known for its rich cultural and resilient people. Rwanda is a small country located in East Africa, but as we like to say, we are a small country but not a small people. She is proud to come from a country that shows a continued commitment to ensuring its citizens' development.

Joanna is currently doing an MBA and has a great passion for Marketing. Indeed, Joanna plans to eventually go back home and bring a new twist to how marketing is done in Rwanda, taking all the tools she has learned studying in the US. Joanna aspires to be the spark in the newest generation of women entrepreneurs shaping the business landscape in Rwanda.

Besides her academic and professional goals, Joanna is a fun, open-minded, compassionate person who believes everybody has the right to a happy life. Joanna is always on the go and likes to experience new things.

Being a member of the ICSP scholars, Joanna wants to represent her country to the Portland community and, in turn, take a bit of Portland back with her when she returns to Rwanda.
